Inside Spellcasting Arena
Every stone in the Spellcasting Arena has been replaced at least once, although the ward-pillars are said to be original. Their linked shields absorb stray magic, measure the force of each spell, and lower automatically when a duel is called. On training mornings, the circular floor rearranges itself into lanes, cover, or moving obstacles.
The arena is used for supervised lessons, house exhibitions, and practical examinations. Students enter through the north gate for an equipment check and leave through the infirmary passage if a spell lands harder than intended. Duels outside scheduled hours are forbidden, which has never stopped the arena from being the academy's favorite place for rumors.
