Inside Astronomy Tower

At the summit of the central tower, the observatory roof opens like an iris over a brass telescope older than the academy charter. The instrument tracks stars, comets, magical storms, and other lights that do not appear in ordinary skies. Around it, a floor-sized astrolabe turns almost silently beneath the observer's feet.

Night classes begin after curfew and end whenever the sky has finished its lesson. Students chart celestial patterns, practice long-range divination, and learn why predictions should be written in pencil. The climb is demanding, but the view reaches beyond the mountain passes—and on very clear nights, perhaps a little farther than that.
