About Captain Roland Graves
Roland Graves built his reputation tracking dangerous magic beyond the academy walls. Now he directs its ward patrols, investigates incidents, and trains staff to respond before a bad spell becomes a catastrophe. His enchanted monocle reveals concealed charms, recent spell residue, and—with irritating reliability—contraband tucked into a sleeve.
He expects clear answers and treats every safety rule as the scar left by an older mistake. Students find him suspicious because he is. They also discover, usually during a genuine emergency, that his severity is matched by a refusal to abandon anyone under his protection.
